What sets the price

Licenses are people

$199 per year for each person with access to an instance. One flat price, whether they run reports daily or sign in once a quarter. The license belongs to the person, not the instance: one license covers you across every instance you're part of.

Profiles are books

A profile is one set of books: one business, one person's finances, one client's accounting. Your license includes capacity for three, on one instance. A second instance needs its own profile capacity.

We never charge by wallet, transaction, or report.
Your bill is people and books, nothing else.

Additional profiles

  • First 3 profiles Included
  • Profiles 4 to 100 $49 each per year
  • Profiles 101 to 1,000 $25 each per year
  • Profiles beyond 1,000 $9 each per year

Each profile is priced by the band it falls in, and crossing a threshold never reprices the profiles below it.

What it costs in practice

Startup

Accounting firm

$1,231 per year

Two people managing twenty client books. 2 licenses at $199 plus 17 additional profiles at $49.

Corporation

$3,980 per year

Twenty people sharing one set of company books. 20 licenses at $199, no additional profiles.

When you want more than software

Enterprise is our team embedded in yours. It can start as simply as us helping you deploy Clams and connect your wallets and nodes, and it scales to a full business intelligence layer: dashboards, scheduled reports, and the answers that give you back the month a year you lose to your books.

  • A quarterly P&L emailed to your founders automatically
  • Slack wired into your Bitcoin books
  • Dashboards your accountant can actually use
  • Bitcoin, fiat, and stablecoins reconciled into one set of books

These are examples, not a menu. Enterprise is bespoke, so if your business runs on a workflow we have not built yet, we build it for you.

Common questions

What is a profile?

A profile is one set of books: one business, one person's finances, one client's accounting. Your license includes three, on one instance, and additional profiles are priced by the band they fall in. Added profiles belong to that instance and are shared by everyone licensed on it.

Can I use Clams on more than one instance?

Yes. Your license signs you in on every instance you're part of. The three profiles included with your license are assigned to one instance; a second instance needs its own profile capacity, priced by the same bands and prorated to your current term.

What exactly stops when a license expires?

Syncing, importing, recording new transactions, creating profiles, and generating new reports stop. Nothing is deleted: everything you've already created stays readable and exportable, and renewing picks up where you left off. Licenses never auto-renew, so expiry is the default, not a penalty.

What happens if I have more profiles than my capacity?

Nothing is deleted. Profiles beyond your active capacity pause for paid work (syncing, recording, new reports) until capacity is added or renewed. Reading and exporting stays available for every profile.

What does a typical setup cost?

An individual with personal and business books: one license, $199 per year. A two-person firm sharing one instance with 20 client books: two licenses plus 17 additional profiles, $1,231 per year. A team of 20 sharing one set of books: 20 licenses, $3,980 per year. One person running two instances: one license plus profile capacity for the second instance.

Can I add profiles or licenses later?

Yes, anytime, right from the CLI. Add a profile when you take on a new set of books. Your bill scales with what you actually use.

How do I add someone to my team?

Invite them from the CLI. They install Clams and buy their own license when they set up, so each person pays for their own access. Nothing to provision on your end. Buying for a whole team on one invoice? Email enterprise@clams.tech and we'll set it up.

Do you charge by transaction or wallet count?

No. Connections, wallets, nodes, and transaction volume are never metered. Whether you track one wallet or a hundred, ten transactions or ten million, the price is the same. You pay for people with access and sets of books, nothing else.

Where does my data live?

By default, Standard runs locally: Clams runs on your own machine and your data stays with you. You can also self-host on your own server. With Enterprise, our team helps you deploy a dedicated setup on your own infrastructure.

Can I try Clams before I buy?

Your first purchase has a two-week money-back guarantee, licenses never auto-renew, and everything you create stays readable and exportable forever, even if you stop paying. Want to see Clams at work first? Watch the guides on our YouTube channel, or if you're weighing Enterprise, book a demo.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes. If Clams isn't what you hoped, email support@clams.tech within two weeks of your first purchase and we'll refund it in full, including any profiles bought in that window. Pay in Bitcoin, get refunded in Bitcoin; pay by card, get refunded by card. One guarantee per customer, on your first purchase.

What happens if I stop paying?

You're never locked out of your books. Reading and exporting what you've created is always free. A license is for keeping your books current: connecting wallets, syncing new activity, recording new transactions. Licenses never auto-renew, so there's no subscription to cancel.

How do I pay?

By fiat or Bitcoin. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and Lightning payments are accepted directly. Purchases happen in the product, not on this site.

When do I need Enterprise?

When you want a team accountable for the system: SLAs, a named team, and an instance kept running and in sync, so your books are always current. Learn more.
