Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 15th 2026
Introduction
Welcome to Clams ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.
Information We Collect
Local & Self-Hosted
When running locally or connecting to your own server, all data stays on your device or infrastructure. Nothing is transmitted to Clams. Authentication (magic link, Google, or Apple SSO) requires an email address, which is processed by our authentication server.
Clams Cloud
When you use Clams Cloud, your transaction data is transmitted to and stored on servers operated by Clams. You can switch back to local or self-hosted mode at any time.
We collect server-side error logs for debugging and service reliability. We use commercially reasonable efforts to automatically redact sensitive information — including wallet addresses, transaction data, balances, and personally identifiable information — from these logs. No automated redaction process is perfect, and residual data may occasionally persist. Error logs are retained for one week and are accessible only to the Clams team for debugging purposes.
Website Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics on our website. Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics tool that:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not track you across websites
- Collects only anonymous, aggregate data (page views, referrer, country)
What We Don't Do
- No information is shared with advertising companies
- No information is mined for personal and behavioral trends
- No information is sold or monetized
For Clams Cloud users: error logs are collected for operational purposes only (see above). Your transaction data and error logs are never sold, shared, or used for advertising or profiling.
