Where it started
Clams began as a desktop app for individuals. A simple idea: give Bitcoiners a way to track their transactions without uploading data to third parties. Privacy-first. Local-only. No accounts, no tracking, no compromises.
What we learned
2,500+ users showed us the demand was real. They also showed us the limits. Individuals wanted simplicity. Businesses needed scale. Accountants needed audit trails.
Everyone needed something different. But everyone needed the same foundation: accurate, reliable, Bitcoin-native accounting.
Where we're going
Clams is now infrastructure. Multiple interfaces: App, API, MCP, CLI. Multiple deployment options: local, self-hosted, or managed. Same precision underneath.
We're building the accounting layer that Bitcoin has been missing. Free for individuals, licensed for enterprises.
